Located just 16 miles from Savannah, Georgia along the southeastern coast, between the Ogeechee and Tivoli Rivers in Richmond Hill (Bryan County), Buckhead East is within minutes from historic Fort McAllister State Park, Fort McAllister marina, downtown Richmond Hill and the Ford Plantation. Neighborhood amenities include a stunning beach entry pool, pavilions with BBQ grills, a large playground and walking trails.
 
The community has single family homes within Brookhaven and Castle Oak. Lake Lily drive has townhomes and some smaller single family homes. No matter the size home your family needs, there is a place for you in our community. The community is adjacent to McAllister Elementary School and DeVaul Henderson Recreation Park – a 125-acre state-of-the-art sports recreation complex.

DeVaul Henderson Park and Timber Trail Branch
 
DeVaul Henderson Park offers a wide range or sports and recreational activities for youth and adults. The entrance to the park is located directly across from the main entrance to Buckhead East. This facility consists of one gymnasium, a baseball and softball complex, walking trails, a 10 court regulation tennis complex, and artificial turf fields. There are expansions in the works.
Also located in Henderson Park is a Bark Park that was built with the funds and hard work of caring Bryan County Citizens. It is the area's first dog park and brings tremendous joy to the four-legged children of Bryan County.
Also located in Richmond Hill, the Timber Trail Facility boasts a baseball and softball complex with 8 fields and batting cages, two football fields, and two full size gymnasiums.

Richmond Hill

J.F. Gregory Park
 
One of many local attractions available in Richmond Hill, Ga, is just a short ride into Richmond Hill city limits. The J. F. Gregory Park, is a 335 acre multi-use recreational area. The park is ideal for picnics, kids time in the playground area, sports activities, canoeing, birding, fishing, hiking, strolling and other activities.
 
Attractions include a lake, walking trail, birding tower, and two restored Henry Ford era homes. Wildlife can be spotted while walking the trail.
 
Numerous events are held at the J. F. Gregory Park such as the Great Annual Ogeechee Seafood Festival. This festival is held every year on the third weekend in October. People from all over the southeast come to sample southern hospitality while enjoying some of the best seafood around. The festival features continuous entertainment on two stages with local and national entertainment. Thrill-seekers will enjoy the carnival midway, shoppers will enjoy perusing the hand-made arts and crafts and business booths, while the foodies will delight in the wide variety of delicious fare.
